Privacy policy
Birthday Village collects only what we need to celebrate a child well, and we protect it carefully.
Information we collect
When you submit a birthday, a sponsorship inquiry, or a contact message, we collect the information you enter in that form. For birthday submissions this may include a parent or guardian's name and contact details, the child's first name, age, birthday date, city and state, and optional details such as interests, sizes, dietary needs, and special needs information.
How we use it
We use the information to review submissions, contact families, match sponsors, and plan celebrations. We do not sell information, and we do not share it with sponsors or partners beyond what is necessary to arrange a celebration.
Children's information
A child's personal information is never publicly displayed without consent. Forms about a child should be completed by a parent or legal guardian. We ask for a child's first name only.
Photos and media consent
Photos of a child are only shared publicly when a parent or guardian has given media consent on the submission form. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us, and we will remove the images from our website going forward.
Storage and security
Submissions are stored in a secure database that is accessible only to authorized Birthday Village staff accounts. Donations are processed by a third-party giving platform; Birthday Village does not store payment card details.
